Chapter Philanthropy

Our Sigma Kappa founders left us with a lasting impression of the importance of philanthropy. Service is one of Sigma Kappa's founding values, and as such, members of Sigma Kappa support multiple philanthropic causes.

Ultra Violet Dodgeball

In the fall, Sigma Kappa gathers members of all Greek fraternities, and other fellow male students at The University of Arizona, to compete against each other in a Dodgeball tournament! Sigma Kappa organizes the entire day event and serves as coaches to the participating men. This event is one of the most popular amongst all Greek organizations on campus, with over 1,000+ participants each year.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's

Every Fall, our members participate in Tucson's Walk to End Alzheimer's. Every Sigma Kappa across the nation attends their community's 5k walk. All of the teams at the event gather before the walk begins, and recognizes all who have been affected by Alzheimer's in any way. This is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, and this year we raised over $26,000! We were the leading donor at the past year's walk, and we are honored to be able to support a cause that we hold so close to our hearts.

Sigma Sliders

Every Spring semester, we hold a philanthropic event where we serve sliders and shoestring fries to the entire Tucson community. This fun-filled night has a DJ, dancing, and games to play all night long in Greek Heritage Park, right next to our house! All profits are donated to the Sigma Kappa Foundation's Pulse Fund.

Alzheimers Prom

One of the newest events our sisters participated in this year was a prom event hosted by a local Alzheimer's home.  Our members dressed up in prom dresses and went to the home to dance, hang out, and eat with those who lived there. It was a fantastic experience, as we were able to see what our efforts go towards.
